what do you think about Europe in general? (you're living in Australia, right?)
:iconrojpix:
umm I havent really been there.. we toured Greece and the Western Balkans then down through Italy then the Greek Is then Dubai on our way home.. so yeah.. not really Europe proper.. Slovenia was a high point in contrast to some of the other countries we visited.. Venice was quite wonderful.. mainly cos it rained and all the tourists (and pidgeoons) ran away and hid.. so the city opened up from its really claustrophobic self... we got lost, wet and totally loved it.. great hotel room too which helps.. looked dow over a canal.. umm yeah Australia is where we live Muswellbrook 3hrs north west of Sydney.. capital city of the state of New South Wales

well.you know what they say: Europe is the continent of the antitheses.
why do you say that Slovenia is so contrasting to the other countries? It resembles quite a lot Germany and Austria. (by coincidence, Slovenia is my favourite country from Europe xD)

Regarding Australia, i dunno what to say, really. I love the landscapes, they are more than amazing, but the climate is very messed up. And Sidney is awsome.I watched some pics and i was left speachless. :sun:

well coming into Slovenia was almost like someone had switched on a light.. we toured through northern Greece Macedonia Montenegro Albania Croatia Bosnia Herzegovina Slovenia Italy back to the Greek Is then to Dubai on the way home. Slovenia however was in stark contrast to the every other country we had visited. I think it may be attributable to climate and geography however the attitude of the people towards their landscape houses building etc was just completely different.. In every other country there was rubbish.. in the countryside in the cities.. rubbish just strewn randomly down hillsides in rivers and creeks in streets gutters and even city rivers Tirane.. what a filthy city.. then you come into Slovenia and its all neat and tidy flower boxes in every window just such a pleasant country.. and not necessarily any more inherently beautiful than the others but .. yeah just beautiful.. then of course down into Italy to not rubbish everywhere but every available flat bit of ground.. under cultivation… Kind of different to Aus… being a young country in terms of western culture and so not so rigorously cultivated

if those countries were dirty, you should visit Romania. there are MOUNTAINS of rubbish everywhere. 70% of population doesn't know what ''recycle'' means and they throw everything everywhere.it's like living in the Middle Ages.
well, the countries you have visited are not as clean as the countries from central and western Europe, but still...they are waaaay more civilised than the country I live in.
and Slovenia....Geez, i utterly love that country.it is so peaceful, neat and the people are so, so nice. i want to move there, but the language is very complicated.and the majority of ppl don't speak English or French.
